Racial Justice Action Center co-launched and led the Communities Over Cages: Close the Jail ATL Campaign with Women on the Rise GA. The campaign, which seeks to close the Atlanta City Detention Center and replace it with a Center for Equity, Wellness & Freedom is now led by Women on the Rise with the support of powerful organizations making up the Campaign Anchor Team. Learn more.

Started as a campaign waged and won by SNaPCo, PAD is a coordinating agency to reduce the number of individuals in the jail system whose actions are connected to mental health challenges, compulsive substance use, or extreme poverty by offering an alternative to arrest in the Atlanta/ Fulton County area.
